![]() skip this one, it offers nothing of value. Open World games are pretty much the standard now- I can recommend so many others- Saints Row, Grand Theft Auto, Watchdogs, Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause. Upon its release Mafia II was widely noted to have already had a DLC pack ready - this news was in actuality a mistakenly-reported DLC in that the package - The Betrayal of Jimmy - was a Play Station 3 Exclusive add-on that was NOT available for either the XBox 360 or PC versions of the game. I really just can't recommend this to anyone. In the first half of the game, my car slammed into nearly everything in a 40's era car as if the brakes were completely shot. You will die in combat from poor cover spots or shot by bullet sponge enemies who survive point blank shotgun fire. This should have been a linear experience. You will drive down the same 3-4 streets over and over and over again. The is a seriously bad game that aged poorly. Did I mention there are no other activities to do besides the story? The problems are splattered across every facet of the game- from the cliche Italian stereotypes and uninteresting story, to the broken aim assist and bullet sponge enemies who get up instantly and fire, to poor car handling in an open world environment the size of GTA 3 - a near decade later. This is probably the worst contemporary open-world game I have ever played, and I've played so many. ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugsĪbsolutely terrible. ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
